The directors of the HIVPeCoT-T32, Drs. Bosque and Maggirwar, will be hosting an information session regarding the T32 training program to PhD students in their first, second or third year working in any area of HIV persistence, comorbidities and/or treatment and their respective mentors. In this meeting, we will present the overall structure of the T32 training program, deadlines, selection process and expectations for trainees and mentors on April 28, 2023 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM.
Typically, the HIVPeCoT-T32 offers its trainees stipend, tuition and health insurance for one year with the possibility of a second year of funding pending progress and approval by the program directors. The T32 also offers other training/career-specific opportunities, including up to $800 to attend an HIV-related conference.
A new cohort of two Ph.D. students, that are studying HIV persistence, comorbidities and/or treatment, will be selected from the pool of qualified applicants in June 2023 to start funding support in September 2023. Application will be live on May 15, 2023 with a deadline of June 15, 2023 and further information can be found at https://hivpecottp.smhs.gwu.
Attendance in-person is highly encouraged and PIZZA will be provided after the information session to-go! The seminar will also be available in a hybrid format (via Zoom) as a courtesy to those who cannot attend in-person.
