The directors of the HIV Persistence, Comorbidities and Treatment (HIVPeCoT) Training program (T32), Drs. Bosque and Maggirwar, will be hosting a T32 Information Session on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. The session will cover the T32 training program to PhD students in their first, second, or third year working in any area of HIV persistence, comorbidities and/or treatment and their respective mentors. In this meeting, the directors will present the overall structure of the T32 training program, deadlines, selection process, and expectations for trainees and mentors. The meeting will be hosted In-Person in Ross Hall, Room 529. Attendance is highly encouraged for those interested and lunch will be provided during the information session.

Typically, the HIVPeCoT-T32 offers its trainees a stipend, tuition, and health insurance for one year with the possibility of a second year of funding pending progress and approval by the program directors. The T32 also offers other training/career-specific opportunities, including up to $925 to attend an HIV-related conference.

A new cohort of two Ph.D. students, that are studying HIV persistence, comorbidities and/or treatment, will be selected from the pool of qualified applicants in June 2025 to start funding support in September 2025. Application will be live on May 15, 2025 with a deadline of June 15, 2025 and further information can be found at https://hivpecottp.smhs.gwu.edu/program-application.
